Desai is a distinguished academic administrator, educator, and research leader with over four decades of experience in higher education and engineering. As Registrar of RISM, he brings extensive expertise in institutional leadership, academic governance, and quality assurance. A recognized expert in Machine Learning and Deep Learning, Dr. Desai has successfully guided 11 Ph.D. scholars in developing machine learning-based prediction models. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in strategic institutional planning, academic excellence initiatives, and accreditation processes, including NBA, NAAC, and ABET. His contributions extend to curriculum innovation, faculty development, outcome-based education, and capability-building initiatives across higher education institutions. Professor Nandyala Dhani Gangadhar holds a Master's Research Degree from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and a Ph.D. from Ramaiah University. With nearly two decades of academic leadership and research experience, he has made significant contributions to curriculum design, interdisciplinary education, and advanced technology research. As the inaugural Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, he led the development of nine outcome-based undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. He has also designed over 30 courses in emerging domains, including Quantum Computing, Generative AI, and Mathematics for Machine Learning. His research interests span Applied Mathematical Modelling, Causal Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence for Healthcare, Data Mining, and Performance Analysis of Networked Systems. He has supervised more than 75 master's theses and currently mentors advanced research scholars. Holding 10 patents, Professor Gangadhar has also contributed to several high-impact initiatives, including training ISRO scientists involved in advanced radar systems, developing a novel wireless network routing protocol for defence applications, and creating a metadata-driven data architecture for the Ramaiah Group’s academic institutions.
